Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop is family owned and operated, offering traditional and non-traditional services and cremation services.. Todd and Carley Abell moved their family to Abernathy to purchase the Abernathy funeral home in 1991 and in 1997 they purchased the Hale Center location. The Abell's owned and operated both locations of Abell Funeral Home until the sale of their Hale Center location in April of 2016, they continue to operate the Abernathy location. Carley's interest in the floral business led her to open Abell Flower Shop in May of 2001.

The Abell's and their staff provide dignified, personal service that is unmatched. The facilities are tastefully decorated in a comfortable home style fashion, and are are equipped with the state of the art funeral arrangement computer system. This computer system promotes a more comfortable funeral arrangement process and affords families more options when selecting funeral services, merchandise and floral tributes.
